Stories - The Farmers and the Well

At some point, a rancher was searching for a water hotspot for his homestead, when he purchased a well from his neighbor. The neighbor, in any case, was crafty. The following day, as the rancher came to draw water from his well, the neighbor would not allow him to take any water.

At the point when the rancher inquired as to why, the neighbor answered, "I sold you the well, not the water," and left. Distressed, the rancher went to the ruler to request equity. He made sense of what had occurred.

The sovereign approached Birbal, one of his nine, and most shrewd, squires. Birbal continued to scrutinize the neighbor, "How about you let the rancher take water from the well? You did offer the well to the rancher?"

The neighbor answered, "Birbal, I offered the well to the rancher yet not the water inside it. He has no privilege to draw water from the well."

Birbal said, "Look, since you sold the well, you reserve no option to keep the water in the rancher's well. Possibly you pay lease to the rancher, or take it out right away." Understanding that his plan had fizzled, the neighbor apologized and returned home.
